We start off with a couple of North Haven Police Department's 1965 Ford Customs on the scene of a fatal crash of a New Haven Register delivery truck which took place on State Street just north of Sacket Point Road in North Haven.

This photo shows Sgt. Robert Arnold of the North Haven Police Department standing next to one of the department's patrol vehicles, a 1976 Pontiac Catalina. Sadly, Sgt. Arnold passed away some nine years after this photo was taken of an apparent heart attack while on duty.

Officer Nava and Officer Czaja standing by their 1979 Ford LTD II patrol vehicles. Officer Czaja involved in a vehicle pursuit in 1980, crashed  his vehicle chasing a man who allegedly shot a woman in a parking lot in North Haven. Officer Czaja was forced to retire due to a severe leg injury that he incurred as a result of the accident.

Okay, the jury is still out on this one. Popular consensus on this photo is that the police vehicle in the background is one of North Haven PD's 1959 Plymouth Savoy patrol cars. The department used these vehicles in the late 1950's through the early 1960's. In the foreground, possibly a 1955 DKW which appears to have come to rest against a tree in town after the vehicle's operator lost control. The DKW was a compact front wheel drive saloon, manufactured by Auto Union AG in Germany. The car first appeared at the Frankfurt Motor Show in March 1953 and sold until 1959. It also became known as the DKW Sonderklasse in later years.
