The show honors Jeffrey Boucher, a Marine and Meriden, Connecticut police officer who died in an off-duty car accident in 2006 at the age of 26.

The Jeffrey Boucher Memorial Scholarship Fund Committee, together with the American Muscle Car Club have awarded over $25,000 in scholarships thanks to entry donations, raffle ticket sales, food sales, and generous donations from businesses and individuals in the community. Participants of the car show took part in various events including a burnout exhibition area, rock crawling event and RTI ramp for off road vehicles, motorcycle stunts, raffle prizes, trophy ceremony, live music, food and various activities for the kids. “It’s really like a big family reunion because half the people here are connected to Jeffrey in some way, and the other half come just to keep his memory alive,” said Boucher’s mother Linda Carabetta. A fire truck’s ladder displayed the American flag above a stage where local entertainment played, including country western band, Wastin’ Bullets who jammed out country tunes. Clouds of grey smoke drifted over the field throughout the day as drivers slammed down on their gas pedals in the “burn-out pit” and spewed mountainous clouds of tire smoke into the air as car enthusiasts cheered them on. Vehicles were registered for $10 and all proceeds went towards the Jeffrey Boucher Memorial Scholarship Fund. The Eastern Vintage Police Car Association attended the show with their Vintage and Antique Police Cars and were a big hit, as usual, with the crowd. In the following pictorial you’ll see Ted Stockmon's 1976 NYPD Plymouth Fury, Dean Hammond’s 1941 Connecticut State Police Ford and Del Cornell’s beautiful 1958 "Connecticut State Police" Ford Custom just to name a few.
